Everyone is invited to kick off this year’s “SEAing is Believing” themed boat parade that pays homage to all things imaginary and magicalBoat owners are invited to bring holiday cheer to the Ventura County Community by joining the parade. Entering as a boater is FREE! Being a boater comes with a handful of perks including an 8 x 10 keepsake photo, awards, cash prizes and a boater brunch following the parade! Parade of Lights

Santa's Village and Christmas Parade

The parade, with the theme of 'A Cosmic Christmas' starts at 10:00 and travels along Las Posas Rd., starting at Temple Ave., turning left onto Carmen Dr. and ending at the Community Center. Enjoy watching hundreds of parade entries like bands, floats, autos, horses and Santa himself riding in his sleigh. Santa's Village is open from 9:00 - 2:00. With Holiday Shopping, Food, Live Music, Inflatable Attractions, Visits With Santa all for FREE.

Star Party

Join us for a tour of the night sky! Use our telescopes—including the 20-inch state-of-the-art telescope in the Palmer Observatory—to get a close-up view of planets, galaxies, nebulae and much more while astronomers from the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit share cosmic knowledge and answer your questions. Star Parties occur on the second Saturday of each month, from dusk until 10:00 PM, weather permitting. Admission is FREE.
